Kids Yoga Camp = 2 hours of FUN!

 

·         45 minutes of Kids Yoga.  Fun yoga poses and sequences just for kids!

·         30 minutes of Crafts.  Bendaroos!  Bend your own yoga person or make a bracelet!

·         30 minutes of Yoga Games.  Fun!

·         15 minutes of Guided Relaxation.  Ahhhh!

Bring a water bottle!

Benefits of yoga for kids:

  • Yoga for kids helps to have healthier body. Nowadays most kids are obese as they are not including physical activities in their daily lives. Yoga for kids helps to reduce the body weight and help them look and feel good. Even if the kid is of normal weight, yoga makes them stronger and flexible.
  • Yoga for kids helps in controlling stress. Kids are under stress due to competitive education. They are worried about grades, exams and home work. Yoga for kids helps in relaxing them and helps in managing stress.
  • If your child is involved in other sports activities, yoga practice is a great cross training activity and helps in reducing risks of injuries. And yoga is a non-competitive sport for your child to experience and participate in through focusing on their inner self.
  • Focus and breathing practice in yoga helps the kids to focus their mind effectively. Their concentration is improved.
  • Yoga for kids increases the self esteem of the child and they feel more confident in doing other activities.
  • Yoga for kids helps in building stamina, strength, stability and balance. It improves the posture. It improves the digestive system, circulation and eliminates toxins in the body. It improves sleeping patterns and memory.

As modern as it is ancient, yoga is one of the most practiced forms of exercise in the world.  Yoga promises and delivers relaxtion in place of stress, insight in place of negativity, and courage in the face of conflict.  Yoga changes your life where it counts – from the inside out.  The real key to finding balance is to focus internally and listen to what's inside.  Achieving balance can be as simple as taking regular moments to connect with yourself.  Apply the yoga principles to your life when you are faced with demands and challenges, your inner strength and peace of mind serve as counterweights.

 

What you get out of yoga is uniquely yours.  Yoga is adaptable to everyone's needs.  Yoga can be hard work as well as sweet repose.  When you push the edge of your comfort zone, you emerge from the experience with a new level of awareness and confidence.  Yoga is a powerful integration.  It makes you aware that you are a part of a larger whole, not merely an island to yourself.  Yoga is about healing the self rather than curing.
